Dual Apprenticeship is a “Hands-on” practical experience in the company, complemented by theoretical training.

Duration

Dual Apprenticeship programs last between 2 to 3 years, culminating in a bachelor’s degree.

In the Dual Apprenticeship schools of F+U in Heidelberg and Darmstadt, you will find state-recognized schools for the fields of health and nursing as well as education and social services. Depending on the program, it can be completed either full-time or part-time.

In old age, everyone eventually relies on help. This help should be as competent as possible: Therefore, it is important to us that you learn to view people holistically during your training.

Work Educator

Work educators support and assist individuals who, due to a physical or mental disability, a substance abuse disorder, or other reasons, are currently unable to cope with the demands of everyday work alone.

Occupational Therapist

Occupational therapists are professionals who help patients manage their daily lives. We believe it is essential to prepare you for everyday work not only with occupational therapy knowledge but also with medical, psychosocial, and educational expertise during your training.

About 8 million people in Germany are severely disabled, and around 18 million are affected by a mental illness.
Many of them need support or assistance—this is where the remedial education caregivers come into play.

In your training, you will learn to combine and act upon specialized knowledge, intercultural competence, and social skills. You will also make your own decisions within the scope of assigned tasks. An additional goal, through general education content, is to obtain a secondary school diploma.

As a physiotherapist, you ensure that the musculoskeletal system remains functional after an accident, illness, or as we age. You help patients regain mobility—pain-free, active, and happy.

Pharmaceutical Technical Assistance

You enjoy advising people, like being a mediator between doctor and patient, and support the pharmacist in their work. You are interested in chemical substances, medicinal and basic materials, and take pleasure in independently preparing and testing formulations and medications.
